Basic cleaning should be performed immediately after operation. Wastewater tanks should be emptied and rinsed with clean water to prevent the accumulation of dirt, odors, or bacterial growth. Clean water tanks should also be disinfected regularly to prevent residual moisture from becoming a breeding ground for microorganisms. Components that come into direct contact with contaminants, such as brushes, squeegee strips, and filters, should be disassembled and cleaned promptly to remove adhering mud, hair, and chemical residues.
Inspect for wear and tear, and replace or flip them if necessary to ensure good contact and sealing performance for the next operation. For vacuum cleaners, the dustbin should be emptied and the filter cleaned to prevent airflow obstruction and reduced suction power.
During operation, real-time status signals of the equipment should be monitored. Battery level, water pressure, brush speed, and abnormal noises can all indicate potential problems. Operators should be trained to distinguish between normal and abnormal operating conditions. Lead-acid batteries require checks of electrolyte level and terminal corrosion to prevent unstable power supply from affecting operational continuity.
The storage environment also affects equipment lifespan. A dry, well-ventilated, dark location with a suitable temperature should be chosen to prevent moisture from causing circuit corrosion or mold growth. Keep the equipment away from corrosive chemicals and high-temperature heat sources.
